The Artist
Ken Reed reviewing the official poster for the Centennial U.S. Open Championship

Kenneth Reed, whose paintings have been commissioned by such golfing greats as Gary Player, Bob Charles, Greg Norman and Tom Weiskopt for their own homes, and whose clients include the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and the United States Golf Association, is widely acclaimed as one of the international golf community's finest artists.

Since 1972 he has been creating the evocative paintings of golf course landscapes which have included such venues as Augusta, Pinehurst and Pebble Beach, and his paintings grace the walls of many historic clubhouses such as Sunningdale, Wentworth and Royal Troon.

A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts since 1962, and for over 25 years pursuing an academic career in parallel with that in golf art, such was the demand for his services that in 1996 he dedicated his skills full time to interpreting golf's wonderful landscapes. The rest, as they say, is history; an appropriate expression, considering the historic role of the golf artist in capturing the essence of the game.
